PRACTICAL SELF DEFENSE

FIGTER

Do you want to learn effective tools to deal with threatening, dangerous and borderline situations?

In the Fighter classes, you learn basic self-defense. You will learn what works in practice and what really determines the outcome of a fight without a referee in the corner. We go through techniques and exercises from several different types of martial arts when we play and challenge each other physically and mentally.

We put elements into play from e.g. MMA, Karate, Kickboxing, Brazilian Ju-Jitsu and Wrestling. Together, we practice a wide range of techniques and do exercises such as floor fighting, submissions, punches and kicks etc.

We will both work with traditional formal training of basic techniques and kata sequences, but also include the sports aspect and point systems in the training.

In Fighter it is important to control both your mental state, your body – and the opponent’s body. Part of the training will deal with flexibility/mobility, motor skills, balance, strength and concentration, attention and targeted aggression.

You get close to each other in Fighter. A large part of the training will take place as partner training, and an essential part of practicing martial arts is learning to be a good partner, so that both the partner and yourself are suitably challenged and get the most out of the training in a safe way.
