Martin Olsen, Teacher

Imagine being able to work with both sports and philosophy. Vejle Sports School is about finding out what you want to do with your life. It is about being clarified - That is what drives me every single day at Vejle Sports School. 

For as long as I can remember philosophy and psychology have been my biggest interests - Not one day passes by where I don't relate to these areas.

Ball games has always been one of my biggest interests - especially badminton and tennis. When I play, I forget everything else. I don't think I can live without it. 

I'm ready to meet you.

Qualifications
  • Educated teacher with sports, religion, Danish and social studies.
  • Completed DGI's badminton coaching academy. 
  • Completed coaching course in the Danish Tennis Union.

Badminton & racket sports

The name of this class could have been "small ball", because it is about smashing small balls. I see many similarities between the sports in this class. What fascinates me about racket sports is the demand to be completely present at all times. A moment of distraction and the duel - perhaps the whole game - will be lost. The classes will contain all the element I like about the sports. Presence, pace, endurance and elegance.

Volleyball is an amazing game full of joy and team feeling. And it is an interesting game where we can learn about ourselves as we analyse ourselves in the game.

Becoming a police officer requires a certain mentality. I will be there to help you clarify if the Police corps is the perfect match for you. During the course I will poke you a bit to focus on the parts of your personality that will be important for your future job with the Police corps. I have long experience training you to communicate to be able to answer precisely and honestly when doing the last part of the entry exam for the Police Academy.

Being on a team is very much about psychology. About performing with others. About insight into the reaction patterns of yourself and others’. And about upholding an attitude and an approach that will make the performances of others even better. That is what I find very interesting.

My favorites have always been ball games - especially badminton and tennis. When playing with a ball, I forget everything else around me, and basically I don't think I can do without that.

My intention is to help create a desire in you to get involved in padel, so that you will also play the game afterwards. It should be fun to play padel, and for me the community part is just as important as the sports part. Everyone needs a good experience together, and we will have fun while playing.
