Camøno route Denmark (Autumn 2024)

A journey of discovery

Camønoen - A journey of discovery in Denmark

Join us in a very special area of Denmark and experience a part of nature where time stands still.

For four days, we will experience everything that the island Møn has to offer in terms of magnificent nature experiences. The trip will be a journey of discovery of ourselves, each other, the past, our stories and space. So be ready to discover new sides of yourself.

We will explore the natural beauty of Møns Klint. Hopefully, up close.

Experience the stars of the night

We will go out into the darkness of the night to experience the very special phenomenon "Dark sky park and community". Møn is one of the few places in the world where there is a very unique opportunity to take a closer look the stars and our universe.

Along the way, the tour will also pass by Nyord and Ulvshale, which is a unique part of Møn that we will learn a lot more about.

Some of the overnight stays will be spent outside in the open, and there will be plenty of time to gather around the fire and create new memories together.

The trip is in autumn, and you should expect a price of DKK 1,200.

CLIMATE CONTRIBUTION FOR THE TRIP

A trip to Møn has a carbon footprint of 18 kg CO2e per person. When you arrive at the school, you get the opportunity to make a voluntary climate contribution. The school will double your contribution. We have written much more about how we, as a school, make a contribution to the climate due to the school trips.

Martin about the Camøno:
Martin Olsen - underviser på Vejle Idrætshøjskole

The island of is an undiscovered natural gem of Denmark and there is plenty of reasons to go explore Møn. I am personally looking very much forward to exploring outer space and the "Dark sky park and community" with the chance to get an out-of-body experience. Time stands still on Møn, and it is very special to be lucky enough to experience it.

Jeanette about the Camøno:
Jeanette Møller Hofslagare - Underviser på Vejle Idrætshøjskole

I am looking forward to getting really close to nature and feeling nature in a new way.

When we walk in nature, we often discover something new about ourselves and others. We put one foot in front of the other on the route and it leaves a mark on ourselves and on each other.
